We are recruiting Employment Facilitators for the IMPACT WorkAbility: Inclusive Pathways to Employment Programme

About the Role

The IMPACT WorkAbility: Inclusive Pathways to Employment Programme, running from 1st January 2024 – 31st December 2028. This project is co-funded by the Government of Ireland, through the Department of Social Protection and the European Union. It aims to support people with disabilities aged 16 years and over who are currently not work ready and/or distant from the labour market, in gaining access to employment/ self-employment.

The IMPACT WorkAbility Employment Facilitator will support clients in improving their employment prospects and help employers build capacity to recruit, retain and progress people with disabilities within their workforce.

BNWAP are recruiting one full-time and one part-time IMPACT WorkAbility Employment Facilitator. Applications are invited for both roles.

Main Duties

  • Recruit an agreed case load of programme participants per annum.
  • Provide individualised support to participants and develop Action Plans, through employment planning, job readiness training, and coaching.
  • Engage with local employers to develop inclusive job opportunities and build long-lasting relationships.
  • Assist participants through the recruitment process, job matching, and into employment.
  • Offer post-placement support to both participants and employers.
  • Work closely with support services, training providers, and other community stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to programme reporting and evaluation.

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant qualifications in community development, social care, supported employment or similar.
  • Experience in employment services, career coaching, disability support, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in accessing employment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, manage a caseload, and meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to person-centred, strengths-based practice.
  • Fluency in English both written and oral.
